About Mood

Mood (Mood.com) is a fast-growing e-commerce brand dedicated to providing high-quality legal cannabis and related hemp-derived wellness products. We are data-driven, fast-paced, and focused on scaling our presence in the US.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a VP of Marketing to lead the next phase of the company’s marketing evolution — strengthening our brand, scaling customer acquisition, improving retention, and building the systems and team needed for long-term growth.

About the Role

We’re looking for a VP of Marketing to own Mood’s overall marketing strategy across brand, growth, acquisition, retention, and analytics.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can operate as both a strategist and builder. You will be responsible for developing the company’s go-to-market and customer growth strategy, leading a high-performing marketing function, and ensuring that performance marketing, brand development, lifecycle, and analytics work together as one coherent system.

Because Mood operates in a trust-sensitive and regulated environment, we are especially interested in candidates who have experience in regulated industries, healthcare, telehealth, or other categories where compliance, nuance, and brand credibility matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the overall marketing and growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, retention, and brand
  • Lead customer acquisition strategy across paid, owned, affiliate, partnership, and emerging channels
  • Refine Mood’s brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy as the business continues to scale
  • Improve the full customer funnel, from first touch through conversion, retention, and repeat purchase
  • Oversee performance marketing, lifecycle/CRM, creative strategy, and marketing analytics
  • Build strong reporting, attribution, forecasting, and testing infrastructure to support decision-making
  • Partner closely with leadership, operations, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Hire, lead, and develop internal team members and external partners over time
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility
  • Strong experience across growth, performance marketing, brand strategy, and customer lifecycle
  • Proven ability to build and scale acquisition systems while maintaining brand credibility
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort with attribution, funnel metrics, testing, and performance management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing agency and/or in-house marketing functions
  • High autonomy, strong judgment, and ability to operate in fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated industries, telehealth, healthcare, or other trust-sensitive consumer categories
  • Experience scaling marketing for a high-growth consumer or digital business
  • Experience balancing aggressive growth goals with compliance and long-term brand trust
  • Familiarity with modern performance marketing, retention, and analytics tooling
Why Join Mood
  • Lead marketing for an established and growing business with real scale
  • Shape the next phase of the company’s growth and brand evolution
  • Build and refine a sophisticated, multi-channel marketing engine
  • Work on a business where growth, trust, and category complexity are tightly linked
  • Have significant ownership and impact on company trajectory
