The VP, Wealth Alternatives Product Manager will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle of Nuveen’s private capital wealth offerings (BDCs, tender offer funds and other semi-liquid offerings).  This role will be a highly visible position helping to coordinate and drive a centralized go-to-market strategy across the organization. They will be internally focused subject matter experts helping to drive training, messaging and delivering product enhancements.  A key responsibility will be to support the entire product platform for each fund offering inclusive of offshore feeders and parallel vehicles.   It is a highly collaborative position supporting AUM generation and P&L management. The VP should have expert knowledge and experience within private credit and/or private equity as well as be able to strategize, articulate, advocate and execute across the platform.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the ongoing product lifecycle for Nuveen’s private capital wealth offerings (BDCs, tender offer funds, drawdown access vehicles)
  • Partner closely with distribution and investment teams to support new client acquisition during due diligence and onboarding phases
  • Support international colleagues on offshore fund development and management
  • Collaborate with marketing, learning and development, and operations teams to develop and execute on a comprehensive go-to-market strategy with a focus on driving product adoption and increasing market penetration
  • Refine product positioning and client materials utilizing market research and client/investment team input
  • Drive internal and advisor communications, supporting product training and advisor education initiatives
  • Maintain expert knowledge of semi-liquid structures and regulatory actions, making recommendations and building project plans to execute on product enhancements
  • Develop and manage project plans recommending ways to institutionalize and enhance business processes
  • Work in close collaboration with investment teams, operations, technology, and other internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery and ongoing product support. Partner on product-related initiatives, such as pricing, performance reporting, and operational efficiencies
  • Monitor the performance and provide regular reporting to senior management. Analyze key performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize product performance

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Current license, or willingness to attain, as Series 7 and 63
  • Experience managing alternative strategies and semi-liquid structures (’33 Act, ’40 Act and exempt offerings) with a passion for delivering alternatives to individuals across the globe
  • CFA or CAIA designation, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to think critically and communicate effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and a desire to drive innovation and new processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Suite:  Excel, PowerPoint, Word,

Base Pay Range: $150,000/yr - $210,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
