TITLE: Director, Product Management (One Connect- Commercial)
DEPARTMENT: Product
REPORTING TO: VP, Communications Product Management
OFFICE LOCATION: New York, NY
ROLE TYPE: Hybrid; Full-Time
Overview of the Team
You will join IPC’s Product Management organization, a global team partnering closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success/Support, and Compliance/Security. Our products operate in mission-critical, 24×7 global environments where reliability, security, and customer trust are non-negotiable.
Role Overview:
As Director, Product Management (Commercial) for IPC OneConnect, you will own the commercial strategy, monetization, and growth outcomes for IPC’s flagship trading-grade communications platform—extending secure, compliant communications beyond the physical trading floor to enable distributed operations.
You will lead the end-to-end commercial product agenda: translating customer, market, and competitive insights into packaging, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market execution that drives adoption, retention, and recurring revenue growth. While you will influence product direction through market signal and customer need, your primary accountability is commercial performance—offers, monetization, GTM readiness, and measurable growth results (ARR/NRR, margin, attach, churn).
This role is highly cross-functional and senior-facing, partnering closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Engineering to align commercial strategy with roadmap priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own commercial strategy and growth outcomes for OneConnect (ARR/NRR, retention/churn, attach/expansion, margin), setting quarterly priorities and operating cadence with cross-functional leaders.
- Lead market, segment, and competitive intelligence to refine ICPs, sharpen differentiation, and translate insights into offers and GTM actions.
- Define and evolve packaging and monetization (SKUs, tiers, bundles, entitlements, value metrics) to simplify buying, accelerate sales cycles, and improve conversion.
- Develop pricing strategy and business cases in partnership with Finance, including recurring revenue model inputs, margin targets, and discount/approval guardrails.
- Drive GTM and launch readiness with Product Marketing, Sales, CS, and Engineering—ensuring positioning, enablement, documentation, supportability, and success metrics are launch-complete.
- Build scalable enablement and commercial assets (value props, ROI tools, battlecards, packaging/pricing guides) to reduce deal friction and increase win rate.
- Establish KPI frameworks and executive reporting from pipeline-to-retention, delivering performance readouts, insights, and course-corrections to leadership..
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Increase OneConnect adoption in target segments to grow recurring revenue and improve retention.
- Improve pricing/packaging clarity and discount discipline to protect margins while improving win rate.
- Launch commercially-ready offers with complete enablement to reduce sales cycle time and increase attach/expansion.
- Build a consistent KPI view from pipeline-to-retention to improve forecasting and prioritization.
Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:
- 8–12+ years in commercial product management, monetization/pricing, product marketing, or GTM leadership for B2B SaaS, fintech, telecom/UC, or mission-critical services.
- Proven ownership of packaging and pricing strategy, including tiers/bundles, value metrics, monetization models, and launch readiness.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with Sales, Finance, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success, including executive-level influence.
- Analytical fluency across market sizing, business cases, KPI dashboards, cohort/usage analytics, and commercial funnel metrics.
- Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to drive alignment, decisions, and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with capital markets workflows, trading communications, and distributed operations.
- Experience driving CAPEX-to-recurring transformations and operating in hybrid commercial models.
- Knowledge of regulated communications environments (e.g., supervision, retention, auditability, compliance expectations).
- Experience partnering with global sales organizations and operating across regions.
