About the Position

Bluefish is seeking a high-impact, seasoned VP of Sales to build and scale the company’s go-to-market strategy and revenue execution.  This leader will own sales outcomes and drive top-line growth across Bluefish’s initial roster of AI products, while laying the foundation for a repeatable, scalable sales engine.

To succeed in this role, you must be a full-stack sales leader with deep experience selling into enterprise brands, strong executive presence, and the ability to operate as a player/coach in an early-stage environment. You will initially lead from the front as an individual contributor—closing strategic deals directly—while progressively hiring, developing, and managing a high-performing team and sales operating system.

This role requires high autonomy, strong judgment, and the ability to execute quickly while building long-term scale.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own enterprise revenue for Bluefish, reporting directly to the CEO, with accountability for revenue growth, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy
  • Develop and execute a fast-moving GTM strategy, including segmentation, ICP definition, positioning inputs, account targeting, and sales motion design
  • Deliver against aggressive revenue targets, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual goals
  • Lead from the front as a strategic closer, engaging and expanding relationships with executive-level stakeholders at major global brands
  • Drive net-new customer acquisition while identifying and capitalizing on expansion opportunities across existing accounts
  • Build a repeatable enterprise sales motion including:
    • pipeline generation and qualification
    • mutual action plans and close plans
    • pricing and packaging strategy
    • procurement and legal navigation
  • Create and manage sales operating cadence (weekly pipeline reviews, forecast calls, QBRs) and continuously improve CRM hygiene and reporting
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to:
    • influence roadmap and prioritization based on customer needs
    • ensure product-market fit feedback loops
    • support enterprise readiness (security, compliance, integrations)
  • Hire, build, and lead a high-performance sales org, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
  • Develop and mentor sales leaders and AEs, improving:
    • discovery quality
    • deal strategy and execution
    • executive-level communication
    • negotiation and closing discipline
  • Proactively monitor and respond to industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to stay ahead of market shifts
  • Serve as an external-facing leader: representing Bluefish through industry events, customer meetings, and thought leadership that strengthens brand credibility and market authority
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner across Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership to ensure coordinated growth execution
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, including leading teams and scaling revenue
  • Proven track record of building and leading early-stage or scaling sales organizations
  • Deep experience with complex enterprise sales cycles and high ACVs
  • Strong understanding of selling martech / data / AI-driven solutions into enterprise brands
  • Familiarity with AI and data concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and credibility with C-level executives
  • History of consistently achieving revenue targets and building predictable pipelines
  • Strong hiring and talent development record—able to attract and retain top performers
  • Ability to operate effectively as an individual contributor while building a team over time
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a small team and thriving in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed
