The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven VP of Strategy and Operations to lead and grow our Strategy and Operations function. You will play a critical role in shaping our global commercial strategies, international expansion and effectively run our Global Business Organization (GBO), maximizing monetization. 


This position is based in NYC with an in-person requirement of three days per week at Qloo's HQ in the heart of Soho.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and implement the company's strategic plan: This involves working closely with the executive team to define the company's vision, mission, and goals, and then translating those into actionable initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats.  
  • Oversee strategic initiatives: Lead cross-functional teams to execute key strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic plan.  
  • Monitor and evaluate performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make adjustments to the strategic plan as needed. 

  • Operational Excellence:
  • Optimize business processes: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.  
  • Oversee day-to-day operations: Ensure smooth and efficient operations across various departments, including sales, marketing, customer success, and product development.  
  • Implement and manage systems and tools: Implement and manage systems and tools to support efficient operations, such as CRM systems, project management tools, and data analytics platforms.  
  • Drive operational efficiency: Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.  

  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build and manage a high-performing team: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of strategy and operations professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration: Encourage cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and efficiency.  
  • Develop talent: Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members.

  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets: Develop and manage budgets for the strategy and operations function, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
  • Analyze financial performance: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights: Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in Strategy and Operations and/or Consultancy and/or Operations, with a proven track record of maximizing effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a results-oriented approach.
