Grow existing wholesale accounts, prospect new retail relationships, and manage customer needs across the account lifecycle. Responsibilities include sales outreach, buyer relationship management, trade show participation, territory travel, order processing, invoicing, fulfillment coordination, claims resolution, reporting, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, logistics, finance, and production teams.
We are hiring a Wholesale Manager for Old Row within the Barstool Sports Commerce Department. This is a remote position responsible for growing wholesale accounts, developing new retail relationships, and managing day-to-day customer needs. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
Sales
- Develop and grow existing wholesale accounts within an assigned territory.
- Prospect and open new retail accounts through outbound calls, emails, in-person visits, and other sales initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with buyers by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Attend regional and national trade shows, markets, and sales events to present seasonal collections and generate new business.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to visit retail partners and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze sales trends, inventory performance, and account opportunities to support business growth.
Managing Client Accounts
- Maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers and serve as the primary point of contact.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and account needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Send invoices to customers whose credit cards have failed through the automated invoicing system.
- Send invoices for customers who are on terms once their orders have shipped.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire wholesale account lifecycle.
Order Processing
- Receive and process reorders from customers via phone, email, or the Elastic wholesale platform.
- Verify order details and delivery instructions with the operations team.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure timely fulfillment and prioritize orders based on potential escalations.
- Provide clients with order confirmations and tracking information.
- File claims for lost packages and coordinate resolutions with customers and internal teams.
- Issue replacement orders through Elastic for damaged or short-shipped items.
Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, operations, production, logistics, finance, and accounts receivable.
- Coordinate with external partners and wholesale customers to ensure exceptional retailer support.
- Assist with showroom preparation, sample organization, and trade show logistics.
- Support the Wholesale team with reporting, data entry, forecasting, and other operational projects.
- Proactively identify account and operational issues and work cross-functionally to develop solutions.
- Contribute to process improvements and other initiatives that support the growth and efficiency of the wholesale business.
What You Have:
- Experience in wholesale sales, account management, customer service, or a related role within the apparel, retail, or consumer goods industry.
- Proven ability to develop existing accounts and prospect new retail business.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck working environment.
- Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH, with a desire to continue developing these skills.
- Experience with wholesale software; Elastic, NuOrder, or Joor experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Self-starter who can proactively identify needs and follow through on solutions.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and attend regional and national trade shows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: $80,000
