As a Workday Test Consultant at Kainos, you will deliver Kainos testing commitments to clients, ensuring they are completed on time and to the required quality standards. Your role will focus primarily on manual testing services, while also ensuring our automated testing tool, Smart, is used effectively for test events in your region in line with client contracts. You will apply your Workday expertise on high-profile projects, address complex functional challenges, and act as a key point of contact for clients.
As part of the testing team, you will build strong customer relationships and shape and deliver solutions that meet client needs, are fit for purpose, and are commercially sound. You will provide expert consulting and guidance by developing a strong understanding of each customer’s business. You will also capture lessons learned and use them to improve best-practice recommendations, project delivery processes, and supporting artefacts as our approach continues to evolve. In addition, you will collaborate closely with others to help centralize communication for #OneTeam reporting.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
Strong understanding of the quality assurance lifecycle testing and automated testing in the Workday environment.
Strong customer focus, with the ability to assess needs, build relationships, manage expectations, and judge when to challenge, escalate, or go the extra mile.
Ability to shape and deliver test consulting engagements that drive clear business value, while contributing to improvements in project approaches and testing artefacts.
Ability to create and maintain testing collateral across a range of service offerings.
Extensive commercial experience in a software testing environment, ideally in a client-facing role.
Good understanding of Workday products, preferably with a Financials background.
Strong awareness of technology trends, particularly cloud computing and SaaS.
Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Develops new skills & services in relation to current and future market requirements
Strong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility, and empathy, including in a remote working situation. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences
Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Customer demands and Kainos commercials
Ability to widen and maintain a network of external contacts
Strong consulting skills e.g. presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating and explaining complex functionality or solutions to customers
Able to implement improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practice
Commercial understanding of utilization within a services organization and the importance of these targets
Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)
Experience & Capabilities:
Minimum 5 years experience in relevant commercial environment
Experience creating and working to project plans
Sound communication skills including ability to present to customer audiences
Ability to work to tight deadlines and participate as part of a team
DESIRABLE:
Workday Financials Certification
Professional qualifications in your area of expertise
Experience in post deployment services
