The Workiva Senior Associate within our Financial Advisory Services consulting practice will support clients in designing, implementing, and optimizing Workiva Wdesk solutions across financial reporting, SOX/compliance, management reporting, and other connected reporting workflows. This role blends process knowledge, critical thinking, and hands-on system configuration.
A background in accounting or finance is highly valuable, though not required for strong candidates with Workiva experience or demonstrated analytical/reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Workiva projects including implementations, system enhancements, reporting automation, and workflow optimization.

  • Configure Wdesk workspaces, build connected documents, link data, and support integrations with client systems.

  • Map existing reporting processes, identify inefficiencies, and translate client needs into scalable Workiva solutions.

  • Assist with project planning, deliverables, testing, documentation, and client communication.

  • Provide coaching and informal mentorship to Associates and Analysts as needed.

  • Support user training, adoption efforts, and post-implementation refinement.

  • Contribute to the development of Embark’s Workiva methodologies, accelerators, and internal knowledge base.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in consulting, reporting, compliance, analytics, or technology-enabled process improvement.

  • Hands-on Workiva experience (Wdesk/Wdata) strongly preferred; Workiva certifications a plus.

  • Strong understanding of reporting workflows (financial reporting, management reporting, SOX/compliance, or operational reporting).

  • Ability to work with data structures, process flows, and connected reporting concepts.

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills with an ability to explain complex concepts simply.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in accounting, finance, auditing, or internal controls

  • Experience with ERP systems, data transformation tools, or system integrations.

  • Prior consulting or client-service experience.
