Writes, researches, edits, and proofreads long- and short-form content for print and digital communications. Interviews clinicians and staff, translates complex information technology topics into accessible stories, verifies accuracy, and collaborates with internal stakeholders on content development.
Produces and edits long and short form content for internal and external printing, digital periodicals, and other communication vehicles as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Investigates and writes articles for print and digital publication, highlighting key message points related to information technology.
- Edits and proofs copy to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriateness of content.
- Interviews staff members/clinicians within and outside Information Services.
- Performs additional research as required.
- Confirms accuracy with clinicians and/or staff.
- Performs related duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, required. Master’s Degree, preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional related experience, writing artifacts geared toward multiple, diverse audiences, required.
- Comprehensive portfolio of long and short-form storytelling, required.
- Proven ability to analyze, synthesize and relay complex stories in simple ways, required.
- Substantial background in journalism-style research and interviewing.
- Familiarity with health care/medicine, wellness or life sciences, preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and proficient in MS Office, required.
