Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Gusto’s conversational AI assistant for small businesses. Expand capabilities across payroll, benefits, HR, and compliance; define integrations and agent-accessible APIs; and partner with engineering, data, design, and research teams. Establish AI quality standards, customer trust principles, and product priorities while shipping incremental improvements quickly.

Own and improve Gusto's AI-first service intelligence layer across voice, chat, and email. Define intent understanding, escalation/handoff, context ingestion, and knowledge retrieval. Build models, evals, and monitoring; iterate rapidly; dismantle legacy workflows; collaborate with GTM, Sales, and Service; and track metrics (solve rate, satisfaction, escalation accuracy, handle time, customer effort) to drive seamless customer resolutions and operational efficiency.

Own strategy and roadmap for tax payments and filings: build automation, tooling, and AI-enabled systems to ensure accurate, on-time tax compliance. Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and CX; prototype and ship solutions, prioritize work using data, and deliver end-to-end outcomes that scale with regulatory change.
