Intersection is seeking a Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for working with key customer contacts at multiple levels. You will identify and align business and IT objectives, discover customer pain points, offer recommendations, develop budget strategies and recognize current and future IT needs. You will play an integral part in helping our customers avoid unplanned outages by providing proactive preventative guidance. You will achieve this through the development and maintenance of a support services plan and making recommendations for operational best practices both at tactical and strategic levels.

You will manage “mission-critical” support escalations and serve as an active member of the account team with early engagement throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with C-level executives and client stakeholders to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Intersection's projects and support services
  • Account management with outcome of increased customer satisfaction and increase in retention & account growth
  • Sales target of $1 million+ of contract service value within a grouping/territory of major-account size client accounts
  • Consistent execution of Intersection's internal sales methodology
  • Proficient in account planning and understanding of budget management
  • Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Fiscal responsibility with regards to expense management
  • In-depth knowledge of technology products and services

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 6-10 years external experience with proven consultative sales, preferably experience in high technology (services, software and/or hardware), with evidence of prior success in Sales and Relationship Management
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within medium and large organizations
  • Demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business
  • Excellent written and oral/presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (C-level)
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • Language requirements as determined by territory needs

Technical Skills:

  • IT business process certifications (ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, etc.)
  • Technical certifications (Apple, Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, AWS, etc), desired but not required.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, GSEC, etc), desired but not required.
  • 4+ years troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • 4+ years IT infrastructure deployment experience
  • 4+ years IT project management experience utilizing an accredited framework
  • 4+ years vendor and maintenance management experience
