DIRECTOR OF CHANNEL SALES

We’re looking for a DIRECTOR OF CHANNEL SALES who will drive sales to exceed goals in our fast-paced, high sales growth team. You’ll create the environment for sales success by creating sales opportunities in partnership with our U.S and Canadian network of retailers, resellers, and distributors. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven success reaching and exceeding sales targets, within an entrepreneurial environment. He/she must be driven and highly organized with proven success selling into key national retailers, education resellers, and distributors.

This position is NYC-based--remote candidates will not be considered!

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS DIRECTOR OF CHANNEL SALES:


  • Meet and beat aggressive sales targets

  • Mentor, manage and motivate a sales team to meet and beat sales targets

  • Own revenue plans and forecasts for the domestic arm of our business

  • Build and develop new and existing distribution and reseller relationships

  • Identify growth and expansion opportunities within existing and new markets; cultivate and support these partnerships to meet and exceed sales targets

  • Work with our Channel Marketing Team to develop marketing initiatives to support account growth

  • Be an evangelist, energizing our channel partners to sell and market the littleBits brand and product suite

THE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED TO BE OUR DIRECTOR OF CHANNEL SALES:


  • 7+ years in sales environments, which may include account management, marketing and/or partner development experience

  • Demonstrated success reaching aggressive sales targets in a high growth business

  • Demonstrated success “getting to yes” and closing the deal

  • Experience building, managing, mentoring and motivating a hungry sales team

  • Experience working with national consumer electronics and department store retailers

  • Experience selling into and through education resellers and distributors

  • An ability to forecast accurately and efficiently

  • Netsuite or other CRM experience

  • An understanding of the EDU buying cycle and strategy for success, preferred

  • P&L experienced preferred
