The Head of Sales Strategy and Operations is a senior leader responsible for leading and partnering across teams to optimize campaign execution, performance and revenue for all of Intersection’s revenue businesses. In this key role, you will be a strategic leader at the center of Intersection’s sales, product and operations organizations. You will be responsible for establishing, with key technology leadership, Intersection’s ad technology stack and workflows. A key goal is to build and guide and teams that can effectively ensure successful forecasting, pricing and delivery of advertiser campaigns.

Responsibilities

Ad Operations and Inventory Management

  • Lead campaign delivery and trafficking across all of Intersection's media placements
  • Develop and build an inventory management philosophy and implement that philosophy in systems and with processes
  • Lead trafficking teams across LINK, Digital Out of Home, and static placements to ensure delivery in full of sold campaigns
  • Own the business relationship with Intersection's ad technology partners including ad serving, CRM and analytical suite(s)

Pricing and Yield

  • Build a pricing and yield team responsible for developing and maintaining Intersection's rate cards and pricing policies
  • Develop and standardize inventory reporting and analysis to ensure that Intersection is maximizing top-line revenue and profitability
  • Support Business development and leadership teams in support of deals to expand inventory
  • Partner with Finance teams to provide executives deep-dives into Intersection's revenue, Sales and inventory positions
  • Develop pricing exception policy and review process

Account Management

  • Develop the account management team, focused on supporting sales in four key areas: media plan development, asset collection, campaign management and reporting, and campaign upselling.
  • Lead the effort to streamline Intersection's forecasting processes in support of the vision of one proposal, one contract and one report
  • Develop processes combining ad operations and account management to ensure timely and efficient asset collection and review
  • Lead team to Build workflow documentation and training development to decrease ramp time for new account managers

Sales Operations

  • Oversee a small team tasked with improving Sales effectiveness and efficiency
  • Serve as the senior business owner for Intersection's CRM system (salesforce.com) and partner with Sales and Product leadership to implement and enhance the CRM system and reporting
  • Providing core reporting and specialized project management to the CRO and CEO

Requirements

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and ship-oriented mentality
  • A passion for understanding, the market, competitors and Intersection’s unique capabilities
  • Demonstrated data-driven thinking, with excellent quantitative skills
  • Experience leading a product team that leverages data to better understand customers, and deploy solutions to create customer value and enhance overall experience.
  • Experience working with senior leadership to define long-term company goals, product strategy and execution cycles
  • 7+ years directly managing high-visibility products and teams
  • An advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in digital publishing, advertising or marketing platforms is preferred, but not mandatory
