By doing this, we’re addressing the fundamental supply and demand issues that underlie housing in major cities today. Common opened its doors to its first building in Brooklyn in October 2015 and is expanding to cities across the country.

About the Role

Common's member base is growing rapidly and we are expanding to multiple new cities in 2017 and beyond. We are looking for a Sales Associate who can join our New York admissions team, which supports sales in multiple regions.
Responsibilities
  • Qualify leads and build relationships with prospective members looking to join our new or existing homes
  • Tour prospective members through our homes or coordinate with regional managers for remote conversions
  • Respond to high volume of inbound leads, assessing interest and fit against our available inventory
  • Be an expert on our portfolio of homes and services
  • Track against key metrics such as throughput, conversion rates and room inventory velocity
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Member Services, Product, Legal and Finance teams to build processes, tools and systems that scale
Requirements
  • You have 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably in a services business (real estate experience not required)
  • You are comfortable selling over the phone, on video calls, or in person
  • You have demonstrated emotional intelligence and can tailor our message to respond to the prospects specific circumstances
  • You are comfortable working in environments where you have specific directions and are encouraged to take initiative 
  • You are metric driven and want to contribute to projects which grow our operational capabilities
