5 NYC VC blogs every entrepreneur should be reading

To make it in startupland you need to think like an investor. Venture capitalists are not only financiers, but recruiters, advisors, mentors and negotiators — and as such, they connect the dots between markets, people and technology.

Whether you’re a serial entrepreneur or a first-time founder, the path to creating a successful business is often tumultuous, and getting into a venture capitalist mindset can prove extremely valuable. In New York City, a number of investors have made their advice, anecdotes and musings regarding entrepreneurship (and general life lessons) accessible to anyone with an internet connection in the form of recurring blog posts.

Here are some of our favorite NYC VC blogs that we recommend checking out.

AVC by Fred Wilson

Fred Wilson, the co-founder of Union Square Ventures and a long-time leader in New York tech, has been posting to his blog every day since 2003. His posts run the gamut from his thoughts on founders to crowdfunding campaign recommendations, providing a helpful resource for anyone in tech.
