Find a job you love: 5 NYC companies hiring right now

December 8, 2016

Sometimes, the best way to move up in your career is by exploring opportunities at a different company. And in the land of startups, getting into a company at just the right stage could land you a senior level position before you know it. If you're ready to take the leap and put in the work, consider applying for a job at one of these five fast-growing New York startups.

What they do: CB Insights runs a tech market intelligence platform that analyzes millions of data points and predicts trends in technology.

Coolest perks: Subsidized health insurance, 401K with matching and profit sharing, yearly education stipend, commuter benefits, lunch Stipend, awesome team building events and a 3D printer.

A note from the company: "Strong drive, big brains and small ego can be a rare combo, but that's the recipe for success at CB Insights," said CB Insights COO and co-founder. "We're a team that's constantly striving to make each other better, and the results of this approach speak for themselves: over 100 percent year over year growth without lighting money on fire."

What they do: Main Street Hub operates a full-service marketing platform that combines social media, customer reviews, mobile and email marketing.

Coolest perks: Office contests, including raffles for prizes like smart TVs, weekend trips, team building activities and an all-inclusive trip for high-performing sales reps. The company also starts each Monday with a hot team breakfast and ends the day with kegs in the office.

A note from the company: “At Main Street Hub, we are looking for employees that are driven — driven to challenge themselves to be great and driven to compete in a fun and friendly way," said Main Street Hub SVP of Sales Tom Calvert. "We are looking for sales representatives who are driven to help local business owners achieve their goals and help them make a difference in their communities.”

What they do: Sisense is a business analytics company that helps non-technical users to join and analyze large data sets from multiple sources.

Coolest perks: Health benefits, 401k, PTO, stock options, fully stocked kitchen, catered breakfast Fridays, company bi-weekly happy hours, team outings, end of quarter destressers (in office massages), offsite events and a ping-pong table.

A note from the company: “Ideal candidates have a refusal to fail and come with a proven track record of navigating internal and external forces in order to achieve success. We also look for a natural sense of curiosity," said Vice President of US Sales, Jordan Christopher. "Effective discovery is a huge part of helping our customers resolve their challenges so when candidates ask smart questions it's a great indicator of success.”

What they do: Bizzabo is an all-one event management platform that allows organizers to build websites, sell tickets, grow communities and utilize mobile features.

Coolest perks: Learning sessions from business experts, world-class tech equipment, conference stipend, entrepreneurial company culture.

A note from the company: "At Bizzabo we are committed to finding people who will uphold our company values," said Bizzabo co-Founder and CMO Alon Alroy.  "Candidates should have a history of excellence, should be committed to taking ownership of their work and should be excited by new challenges.”

What they do: Button creates the plumbing behind mobile deep linking, connecting apps in order for people to complete multiple actions at the tap of a button. The company imagines a mobile experience where you don’t bounce between apps, but where different apps are merged into “super apps.”

Coolest perks: Annual vacation allotment (up to $1,000) to use while enjoying an unlimited paid time off policy, lunch provided daily (which they can eat on the company's rooftop deck), and a monthly stipend for testing out on-demand services. The company also gives all parents 17 weeks of paid parental leave.

A note from the company: "At Button we not only look for candidates who demonstrate expertise in their field and an entrepreneurial spirit, but someone who also fits within our culture," said Button CEO and co-founder Michael Jaconi. "We have been tremendously fortunate to attract folks that represent the best in their respective areas of focus, but, more importantly, people that we want to be with every day. That is what sets Button's culture apart."
