Calling the shots: 5 NYC tech companies hiring leaders right now

Finding tech talent can be tough, and the challenge grows exponentially when you’re looking for someone to not just join the team, but to take the wheel and lead. A startup’s lean workforce means there’s only room for the cream of the crop in every department — including those at the top.

Luckily, New York City is a hub for leaders in technology. Here are five companies currently searching for executives like you.

Who they’re looking for: You’ll have 10 years of experience in a multichannel environment that’s high volume and fast growth. You’re metrics-driven and you know what Zendesk is (or you have experience with something similar).

Head of Marketing at SeedInvest

What they do: SeedInvest is an equity crowdfunding platform that connects investors with startups. They played a crucial role in allowing entrepreneurs to raise capital over the internet.

What you’ll do: You’ll lead all growth efforts, including advertising, SEO and social media, and build relationships with industry journalists. As the head of marketing, you’ll also manage public relations and content creation.

Who they’re looking for: You’ll have a strong understanding of architectural patterns relating to data architecture, data integration, modeling and data warehousing. The ideal candidate has more than five years of experience as an engineering manager, preferably in an Agile environment with CI/CD.
