What they do: If you’re on the hunt for a new apartment or condo, you might want to check out Compass — but only if your budget will allow. The real estate platform connects buyers and renters with luxury homes, and it operates in every major U.S. city.

Coolest perks: The startup offers employees a number of professional development opportunities, like training and tuition reimbursement, as well as generous time off benefits — think sabbatical and paid volunteer time. It also offers daily meals, fun company outings and a solid parental leave policy.

What they do: Group Nine Media is made up of four digital-first media companies: NowThis, The Dodo, Thrillist and Seeker. Every month, the company’s content rakes in 5 billion monthly video views and sees 120 million social engagements.

What they do: People come to Fiverr when they’re looking for freelance services of any kind, whether it’s SEO help for a website or background vocals for a song. The company was founded in 2010 and has since raised more than $110 million in total funding.

Coolest perks: The startup has a fully stocked kitchen and offers 401(k) matching, catered Friday lunches and office yoga. Employees can attend a number of happy hours, community events, volunteering activities and company outings and retreats.

The company has over $100 million in funding from top VC firms, and have nearly 200 employees across the U.S. and London.

What they do: Stride Consulting is an agile software consultancy that helps tech teams increase efficiency and find success. The company was founded in 2014 and is led by founder and CEO Debbie Madden.
