These 5 NYC Tech Companies Raised $227M in February

Five NYC tech companies gained a combined total of $227 million in new funding this month. Unqork took the top spot with its $51 million round. Read on below to get the details on all of February’s top funding rounds.

 

#5. $40 million, February 26

The media and tech company is known for publications like Mental Floss and FanSided. The VC funding brought its total amount raised to $160 million and its valuation to over $500 million. Later this year, it plans to release enhanced tech platform offerings.

 

#4. $43 million, February 12

The company uses deep learning to predict, identify and prevent cybersecurity attacks. Millennium New Horizons led the Series C round. This brought its total funding to $100 million.

 

#3. $45 million, February 19

The digital health company focuses on women and families. Icon Ventures led the Series C round, with participation from a group of high-profile individuals like Natalie Portman and Mindy Kaling. It brought the company’s total funding raised to $88 million.

 

#2. $48 million, February 27

The AI-enabled app allows users to check their symptoms by comparing them to anonymized medical records. The Series C brought its total raised to $97 million. It’s next considering a global expansion.

 

#1. $51 million, February 26

Its platform allows enterprise companies to build software applications while doing very minimal coding. Its initial Series B netted the company $80 million, and with this extended Series B, it has gained a total of $131 million. It plans to grow its sales and marketing teams and invest in its engineering team.
