Headway, a New York-based company working to increase access to mental healthcare, recently announced its acquisition of talent from Tezi, an AI-native company specializing in building solutions that streamline work for professionals.
Tezi developed systems that removed tedious operational tasks from complex workflows by combining human judgment with AI agents. This model aligns with Headway’s goal of using AI in healthcare to grant clinicians more time to focus on tasks that require human expertise.
“Today’s mental health system makes it harder than it should be for patients to find the right support, and for clinicians to focus on their work,” Andrew Adams, Headway’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We believe AI can help improve the infrastructure around care so clinicians can spend more time with patients and less time navigating complexity.”
Tezi’s team will be fully integrated into Headway’s engineering and product organization, working with clinical and operational leadership to develop AI responsibly to improve experiences for both patients and clinicians.
