NYC Startup Week, All Week
This week is Tech@NYU’s annual Startup Week. That means a week celebrating hacking, networking and tech. There are a ton of events scheduled for the week, and you can find details here.
NYC’s Biggest Tech Networking Mixer, April 4 at 6:30 p.m.
What’s being billed as NYC tech’s largest startup, business and entrepreneur networking mixer is being held in Chelsea tonight. Dress code is business casual, and it’s free to attend — if you don’t count the one drink minimum.
The Future of Work Summit, April 6th at 8:30 a.m.
This summit will explore what work will look like in Brooklyn in the near future. They’ll talk about things like education, mobility, lifestyle and independence, and try to paint a picture of how the next generation will work in the borough. The event is being put together by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and LiquidTalent.
NYC Startup Job Fair, April 8th at 12 p.m.
The NYC Startup Job Fair is designed to connect talent with startups hiring technical and non-technical positions. The fair is taking place in the IAC Building on 18th, and at least in the past, has featured big startups like Meetup, Vimeo, General Assembly and About.com.
Full-Day HTML & CSS Workshop For Beginners, April 9th at 10 a.m.
This event is intended to teach people who identify as women the basics of HTML and CSS. By the end of the class you should be able to build a one-page website from scratch. Even if you don’t plan on building a website from scratch, knowing some HTML and CSS comes in handy.
That's it for this week. For a full listing, check out the Built In NYC events page.
