AI Marketing Insights Platform Profound Raises $20M Series A

The round, led by Kleiner Perkins, will allow the company to hire New York-based data science and engineering talent.

Profound, an AI visibility platform for marketing teams, recently secured $20 million in Series A funding. The company works to help brands like Indeed, MongoDB and Ramp understand, improve and measure how they appear in AI-powered search results.

Profound’s platform shows users how chatbots describe their brands and products, reveals how AI bots crawl and interpret their sites, surfaces trending AI search topics and provides marketers with other actionable insights. Its solution processes more than 100 million AI search queries every month and supports customers in 18 countries and six languages.

Led by Kleiner Perkins, the round will go toward expanding Profound’s New York-based engineering and data science teams, deepening its platform’s coverage across emerging AI platforms and accelerating product innovation.
