Traversal, a New York-based AI-powered site reliability platform, launched out of stealth, raising $48 million across seed and Series A funding rounds, led by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins, with participation from NFDG and Hanabi.

According to a company news release, Traversal will use the funding to refine its enterprise-focused AI agent designed to detect, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in real time. Unlike traditional monitoring tools, the agent goes beyond surface-level symptoms to pinpoint root causes by orchestrating tool calls and analyzing large-scale datasets.

Beyond incident response, Traversal also functions as a proactive system health monitor, filtering noise from alerts and preventing issues before they arise.
