Model hypothetical scenarios, allow users to vary configurations and assumptions, evaluate impacts, compare tradeoffs, identify risks, and integrate simulation capabilities into broader product workflows. The role involves full-stack engineering across design, development, testing, and operations, with emphasis on distributed systems, algorithms, network modeling, and computational reliability.

Conduct applied research on scalable optimization and resource-allocation algorithms for large communication networks. Apply machine learning, reinforcement learning, integer optimization, graph-based methods, and metaheuristics to improve solution quality and efficiency. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate algorithms into production aerospace networking systems, evaluate performance at realistic scale, publish research, support patent applications, and document novel methods.

Design and develop backend distributed systems for 5G non-terrestrial networks, Direct-to-Cell services, satellite orchestration, and terrestrial network coordination. Build scalable cloud-native software using C++, Golang, Java, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Kubernetes. Translate 3GPP and O-RAN specifications into reliable software, integrate platform components, document implementations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with telecom solution architects.
