Teams at Anthropic

Advise product, research, and engineering teams on global privacy and data protection. Negotiate DPAs, BAAs, data-sharing agreements, and cross-border terms; lead privacy strategy, regulatory engagement, M&A diligence, and scalable compliance programs. Partner with legal, security, policy, safeguards, and product teams to assess risks involving AI systems, technical architectures, commercial partnerships, and privacy incidents.

Lead intellectual property workstreams for acquisitions, investments, and complex commercial and research agreements. Conduct IP diligence, negotiate IP provisions, advise business and legal teams on IP risks, and develop scalable playbooks, templates, and processes. The role also contributes to broader IP strategy involving open source, trade secrets, patents, and emerging AI-related business models.

Own the strategy, design, development, and deployment of AI safeguards systems and product experiences across Anthropic’s products and cloud platforms. Define safety-by-design approaches, develop evaluations and risk metrics, prioritize roadmaps, make technical tradeoffs, and collaborate with policy, research, engineering, enforcement, and product stakeholders to mitigate deployment and user risks.
