The AI/ML Engineer will design and deploy advanced AI models, optimize performance, and directly engage with government officials to transform industries through innovative AI solutions.

Build core, shared ML capabilities for a production platform: foundation models for documents, extraction agents, model routing, unified evaluation, and continuous improvement pipelines. Own end-to-end capability development, production deployment, and cross-team support to improve accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability across institutional workflows.

Design, build, and deploy AI-powered web applications end-to-end. Collaborate with customers to define product specs, implement front-end and back-end systems, build scalable data pipelines, integrate sensor data, optimize performance, mentor junior engineers, and maintain production deployments across government and industrial clients.

Serves as a permitting and plan review domain expert for engineering, product, design, data, and go-to-market teams. Reviews permit applications, plan sets, submittals, and AI outputs; interprets building codes; identifies missing or noncompliant information; defines approval and revision criteria; labels examples for ML systems; synthesizes jurisdictional requirements; and develops rubrics, checklists, documentation, and benchmarks. Requires approximately 5+ years of hands-on permitting or plan review experience and fluency in applicable building codes.

Lead the development of Brain Co.'s strategy for government partnerships and AI deployments, transforming early pilot programs into scalable solutions.

Serve as the technical lead for government sales: run discovery with agencies, design solution architectures, build demos/POCs, scope integrations, navigate security/compliance (FedRAMP/ATO), support RFIs/RFPs, and ensure pilots convert to production.
