Own the reliability of a production blockchain and payments platform ahead of its 2027 launch. Responsibilities include managing the full production environment, service levels, error budgets, release authority, observability, and 24/7 multi-shift operations. The role will also build and lead the platform reliability team and design its shift rotation.

Lead reliability engineering for a production blockchain payments platform, serving as the final escalation point across the OP Stack, Besu L1, gateway, and settlement bridge. Co-own service levels, release gating, runbooks, alerting, incident response, and postmortems. Participate in on-call rotations while debugging Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and distributed-system issues. The role emphasizes technical leadership without people-management responsibilities.

Own the smart-contract release train for a permissioned EVM rollup built on the OP Stack. Lead external audits, maintain Quant’s fork of upstream Optimism, assess intentional protocol divergences, and investigate and explain unexpected chain behavior to reliability engineers, security teams, and banking customers.
