Lead a small backend team to design, develop, release, and maintain services powering Duolingo Score. Own technical direction, collaborate with product/design and mobile teams, implement score calculation and proficiency modeling, integrate with external platforms, and mentor engineers while driving project priorities and delivery.

Lead development and deployment of bandit models and large-scale neural networks for monetization. Collaborate cross-functionally, drive product and business decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, high-quality ML solutions across the ML stack (training, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring).

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead a cross-functional team focusing on monetization systems, driving performance marketing, ad quality optimization, and engineering excellence.
