The role also manages legal intake, responds to RFPs, advises firm directors, maintains contract templates and playbooks, and uses AI tools to improve efficiency.

Manage sales tax compliance for clients, including state and local tax returns, registrations, business licenses, exemption certificates, tax accruals, reserves, journal entries, and use tax matters. The role involves supervising staff, managing information, communicating with clients and tax authorities, resolving issues, and collaborating with tax professionals across the firm.

Assists with IRS examinations, appeals, penalty abatement and relief requests, collection matters, tax account issues, and federal tax research. Drafts tax memoranda and appeals protests, communicates with IRS personnel, and supports training programs and thought leadership publications. The role requires a J.D., passage of a state bar exam, and at least one year of tax controversy or tax-related experience.
