Own growth of an industry vertical, partner with insurance carriers to place and transact policies, and turn operational processes into scalable, agent-led product workflows. Build and maintain Fernstone’s insurance product as the second engineering hire. Own complete features across frontend, backend, data models, and infrastructure; collaborate with operations to identify opportunities; create reliable workflows; and develop AI systems that automate multi-step insurance work while handling errors and human escalation.

Own outbound and inbound sales growth for a founding insurance startup. Responsibilities include prospecting by phone, qualifying and closing interested customers, generating and enriching leads, building outreach sequences, and launching new customer verticals. The role requires strong ownership, competitiveness, ambition, grit, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growing, in-person startup environment.
