Own the clean-sheet design and production release of Fluidstack’s metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear platform. Lead engineers through ratings definition, protection and IED integration, racking and interlock architecture, type testing, compliance, and redesign cycles. Manage high-power laboratory campaigns covering short-circuit, internal arc, BIL, and temperature-rise testing, while driving the platform from concept through design freeze and production.

Own control architecture for rotating machinery and test rigs, including compressors, motor drives, expansion turbines, and thermofluid loops. Develop safety interlocks, fault handling, speed-based capacity control, and hardware-in-the-loop validation. Tune controls on live machines, investigate model-to-plant discrepancies, integrate production chillers with site BMS and plant systems, and document systems for operations teams.

Own compressor testing from test-cell commissioning through validated performance mapping. Responsibilities include specifying test cells and instrumentation, defining measurement chains and uncertainty budgets, writing test plans and safety interlocks, analyzing data, supporting design changes, and conducting failure investigations. The role focuses on high-pressure, high-speed rotating machinery, thermofluids, refrigeration performance, and data acquisition.

Owns end-to-end aerodynamic and mechanical design of high-speed turbomachinery, including centrifugal compressors, expansion turbines, rotordynamics, magnetic bearing integration, stress analysis, and machine architecture. The engineer will take designs from mean-line analysis and CFD through geometry release, build, test-stand validation, performance-map analysis, and iterative redesign. Work spans advanced cooling systems, novel working fluids, high-speed motor-driven machines, and rapid development from concept to production.

Own the electrical design and integration of high-power machines, including DC buses, inverters, motor drives, magnetic-bearing amplifiers, test-cell power systems, and load banks. Lead EMC, harmonics, bearing-current, insulation, arc-flash, and electrical-safety work through installation and commissioning. Develop safe work practices for energized equipment and bring first-of-a-kind systems to full-rating operation.

Own long-lead procurement for compressor programs, qualify and dual-source critical vendors, support make-versus-buy decisions, and align prototype purchasing with production ramp needs. Partner closely with engineering to influence designs for supply availability, manage changing prototype requirements, protect program schedules, and develop resilient supplier relationships across motors, bearings, forgings, castings, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.

Build software systems for large-scale AI compute operations, including fleet health monitoring, automated repair and RMA workflows, hardware qualification, facility asset management, and structured operational procedures. Develop production features using Go, Python, or TypeScript; integrate LLMs and agentic tools; support on-call operations; and work closely with production engineers and facility operators to improve reliability and deployment speed.

Lead product direction for ontology and data products that model and support compute production. Translate messy operational domains into data models, specs, and product surfaces; drive technical tradeoffs and ship end-to-end; run stakeholder discovery and validate impact; define and track success metrics to optimize product outcomes.

Structure, draft, and negotiate energy agreements supporting data center expansion, including power purchase, interconnection, transmission, generation, and utility infrastructure agreements. Advise on FERC, state utility commission, and organized-market regulations; lead complex transactions; manage outside counsel; coordinate cross-functional deal teams; and provide commercially pragmatic legal guidance to executives and business leaders.

Lead the supplier quality engineering team, manage supplier quality processes, develop KPI metrics, and enforce quality standards for manufacturing and infrastructure.

Counsel will lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements supporting data center development, including supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and technology transactions. The role manages sophisticated negotiations, oversees outside counsel, coordinates transactions across internal teams, and advises business leaders on legal and commercial risks. Candidates must hold an active law license and demonstrate strong judgment, communication, and experience handling high-stakes agreements.

Build and maintain foundational infrastructure platforms (CMDB, DCIM, asset lifecycle, monitoring, observability, automation). Deliver self-service tooling, workflow orchestration, integrations, and scalable, reliable systems while partnering with operations, security, and product teams. Drive technical direction, CI/CD, IaC, and production readiness for fleet-scale data center infrastructure.

Own and operate the document control system for datacenter design and construction: manage drawings, specs, submittals and revisions; enforce naming/versioning/approval workflows; maintain audit trails; coordinate document flow between design firms, EPCs, vendors and internal teams to ensure sites are built to the approved baseline.

Lead technical direction for compute qualification, own hardest hardware qualifications (first silicon, new platforms), build test automation and data pipelines, perform root-cause failure analysis, mentor engineers, and represent the lab to vendors and fleet stakeholders.

Architect the solid-state transformer platform for gigawatt-scale AI data centers. Select converter topologies and semiconductor strategies, lead power electronics, magnetics, and controls engineers through hardware development, define MVDC system interfaces, create prototype roadmaps, evaluate build-versus-partner options, and develop vendor, laboratory, and university partnerships. Own technical trade-offs involving efficiency, redundancy, manufacturability, device availability, and MW-scale system integration.

Lead the architecture and validation of medium-voltage DC distribution systems for gigawatt-scale AI campuses. Own EMT modeling, fault and stability analysis, grounding, protection philosophy, safety cases, and technical interfaces with SST and facility electrical teams. Lead the DC Systems team, establish initial deliverables, guide vendor strategy for converters and DC components, and evaluate ecosystem and standards gaps.

Own hardware new product introduction programs from kickoff through rate production for racks, gear, or power conversion products. Manage schedules, stage gates, risks, dependencies, design changes, long-lead components, readiness reviews, and cross-functional decisions across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and delivery. The role requires technical judgment, disciplined escalation, and the ability to make difficult scope, schedule, and recovery decisions under significant schedule pressure.

Own the architecture and end-to-end product definition of 150kW-class liquid-cooled AI compute racks. Lead electrical, mechanical, thermal, and integration engineers; define power, cooling, interconnect, structural, weight, serviceability, and facility interfaces; conduct rigorous design reviews; and align rack roadmaps with accelerator vendors and data center architecture.

Lead end-to-end external connectivity strategy: manage carrier relationships, procure and track circuits, ensure diverse OSP fiber paths, coordinate fiber builds, plan backbone/POP placement, support peering/interconnection, and provide connectivity intelligence for datacenter site selection and capacity forecasting.
