Develop project-specific layouts and technical solutions for specialty elevator equipment. Review customer requirements, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and orders; configure equipment through CPQ and ERP systems; process retrofit projects; provide technical support; resolve functionality issues; and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Estimating, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Participate in client information-gathering meetings, site surveys, product development, and design change reviews while ensuring compliance with specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements.

Designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains embedded software for elevator control systems using C and C++. Collaborates with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and field service teams to resolve technical issues, supports on-site testing, documents system behavior, improves engineering practices, and mentors junior engineers. The role requires real-time embedded software expertise, hardware debugging, and leadership of small projects.

Supports the full lifecycle of elevator mechanical components and assemblies through design, engineering changes, testing, validation, certification, production implementation, and sustainment. Creates drawings, specifications, BOMs, and change documentation; performs calculations, tolerance analysis, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, purchasing, suppliers, and engineering teams to improve product quality, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and compliance with elevator codes and standards.
