Teams at Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LA-ICP-MS in a production lab; support sample preparation, data acquisition, QC, and database management. Contribute to research on gemstone identification, treatment detection, origin determination, method development, data analysis, reporting, and publications. Collaborate with global research teams and travel as needed for research initiatives.

Provide client account management and lab transport duties: intake, sorting, packing, customs paperwork, shipping coordination, and routine problem resolution. Use GIA systems and MS Office, follow SOPs, communicate with clients and departments, and perform vault/transport processes to ensure timely, accurate service.

Manage client accounts and workflow to complete gemological services, resolve routine client issues, coordinate with departments to ensure satisfaction, handle intake windows, and apply GIA procedures and diamond grading knowledge.
