Develop, unit test, and maintain customer-facing features for a business-critical Guardian application website. Collaborate with product owners to decompose features, follow security standards, work within a SAFe agile team alongside developers, QA, business users, and partners, and maintain software documentation.

Leads Guardian’s ServiceNow Risk technology strategy, roadmap, governance, operations, and modernization across IRM, BCM, TPRM, and MRM modules. Partners with Risk, technology, security, architecture, business, and vendor teams to align investments with regulatory and business needs. Oversees platform lifecycle management, releases, incidents, changes, technical debt, transformation programs, delivery teams, contractors, and strategic partners.

Leads architecture, solution design, engineering direction, and modernization across Guardian’s annuity technology ecosystem. The role guides policy administration, servicing, distribution integrations, data, digital experiences, and enterprise platforms. Responsibilities include defining technology roadmaps and guardrails, modernizing legacy systems, developing API- and event-driven cloud-native solutions, improving reliability and engineering practices, enabling third-party distribution, and mentoring technical teams. The Principal Engineer partners with business, product, architecture, engineering, and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, resilient platforms.
