The Senior Cloud Software Engineer will design, develop, and scale cloud-native systems for document processing, focusing on reliability and performance, while collaborating with data teams and driving technical decisions.

Handle Employment Practices Liability claims from investigation through resolution. Evaluate coverage, liability and damages; manage caseloads, reserves and litigation strategy; coordinate with defense counsel, insureds, underwriters and agents; prepare reports; support mediations/settlements; and assist team members and leadership on case and departmental matters.

Provide independent defense litigation from inception through trial for premises liability, commercial, and personal motor vehicle cases in NY. Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs; conduct legal research; develop defense strategies; prepare witnesses and evidence for trials and hearings; communicate with courts, clients, claims partners, and opposing counsel; and advise Managing Attorney while maintaining professional development.
