Teams at Hospital for Special Surgery

Perform accounts receivable and managed-care related tasks including payer follow-up, physician enrollment coordination, contract and payment issue resolution, tracking and documentation of payor issues, PHO phone line oversight, and support for PHO meetings. Use billing systems, coding knowledge, and reporting to identify denials and resolve payment issues while maintaining attendance and adaptability.

Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care for pediatric and adult patients, monitor recovery and anesthesia effects, recognize/respond to clinical changes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in performance improvement to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Manage operational support for Employee Resource Groups and culture initiatives. Track participation and program metrics, support educational content, coordinate supplier/vendor access, handle event logistics and internal communications, and advise stakeholders while driving continuous improvement through data and best-practice scanning.
