Teams at Knit

Own the end-to-end product design function as Knit’s first designer, leading projects from discovery through launch. Build and maintain the company’s design system, improve complex workflows, establish visual and interaction standards, and create intuitive experiences for human researchers and AI agents. Conduct user research, collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, work directly with enterprise customers, and ensure high-quality implementation. The role offers significant autonomy and potential to build a future design team.

Supports the CEO by proactively managing their calendar, priorities, preparation, logistics, travel, expenses, stakeholder coordination, deadlines, and follow-ups. The role partners with the Chief of Staff and leadership on high-priority projects and events, ensuring the CEO remains focused on strategic, high-leverage responsibilities. Success requires exceptional organization, judgment, discretion, communication, responsiveness, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Build and operate AI-native full-stack products, including multi-agent LLM orchestration, scalable FastAPI services, data pipelines, React and Next.js interfaces, experimentation platforms, evaluation systems, and reliability infrastructure. The role owns features from design through deployment, optimizes performance, leads incident response, partners with customers and cross-functional teams, and mentors engineers. It requires strong Python and TypeScript skills, experience with LLM systems, event-driven workflows, observability, enterprise security, and rapid product delivery.
