Leads armed incident response, executive protection, threat assessment, emergency management, special-event security, and loss-prevention operations for a major museum. Coordinates with law enforcement and protective agencies, develops security plans, responds to critical incidents, monitors suspicious activity, supervises vendors and staff, and supports investigations. The role requires armed security licensing, firearms proficiency, emergency response availability, and extensive law-enforcement or fire-department experience.

Leads museum-wide audiovisual and media production operations across hundreds of annual events. Oversees technical designs, staffing, scheduling, union compliance, documentation, budgets, vendors, risk management, troubleshooting, and event execution. Provides senior escalation support, manages technical teams and operational systems, and drives improvements to AV infrastructure, workflows, equipment standards, and service delivery while partnering with museum stakeholders.

Manage financial operations for Institutional Advancement departments, including annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L ownership, cost-benefit analysis, procurement, accounts payable, travel expenses, and reporting. Partner with department leaders, Finance, Budget and Planning, and Human Resources to improve workflows, controls, documentation, and performance measurement. Establish data-collection tools, identify KPIs, manage business processes, and implement continuous improvements within a complex institutional environment.

Owns budget implementation and cost control across the museum’s capital construction portfolio. Responsibilities include project budgeting, forecasting, budget-to-actual analysis, change order management, AIA pay application review, vendor pricing validation, contract administration, invoice reconciliation, procurement coordination, and financial reporting. The role partners with Finance, Project Management, vendors, contractors, architects, and general contractors to maintain accurate, audit-ready project financials and communicate cost risks and variances to senior leadership.

Manage the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s comprehensive gift planning program, including prospect cultivation, planned giving proposals, donor stewardship, marketing materials, estate administration, life income gift filings, donor database management, and coordination with legal and finance teams. Build relationships with high-level donors and trustees while overseeing bequest intentions, life income gifts, and related reporting.

The Assistant Conservator will conserve two early sixteenth-century polychrome stone sculptural ensembles and an architectural wood frame. Responsibilities include treatment, technical examination, research, interpreting scientific analysis, and preparing visual and written documentation under AIC guidelines. The role requires collaboration with conservators, potential presentations and publications, careful handwork, lifting heavy objects, ladder or rig work, and treatment in public museum spaces. This is a 2.5-year end-dated position.

Lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for capital projects. Develop sourcing strategies, run RFPs, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, mitigate risk, track savings, and collaborate with project, design, facilities, and finance stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.
