Provide legal counsel for management liability and specialty insurance lines by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating policy forms and endorsements; advising underwriters and product teams on coverage interpretation, regulatory compliance, surplus/admitted products, and product development; assessing and mitigating complex risks; leading strategic matters; collaborating with reinsurance teams; and supervising or mentoring junior legal staff as needed.

Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate low-severity management liability and specialty lines claims (E&O, D&O, EPL). Provide coverage analysis, set reserves within authority, collaborate with insureds, agents and counsel, advise underwriters on trends, and maintain regulatory and policy knowledge. Work under close supervision with minimal monetary authority.

Drive profitable personal lines growth across an assigned Upstate NY territory by building and managing distribution partner relationships, identifying new business/transfers, leveraging data and tools (Salesforce/Seismic), executing territory plans, collaborating with product/claims/servicing teams, and maintaining regular in-person engagement and portfolio management to meet territory goals.
