Develops and executes multichannel strategic communications plans for NRDC’s Nature Department. Responsibilities include messaging, communications prioritization, content development, advocacy and fundraising collaboration, media amplification, audience engagement, analytics-driven optimization, and executive thought leadership. The role coordinates cross-functional teams and advances organizational visibility, supporter action, and nature-focused policy narratives.

Leads NRDC’s New York legislative and regulatory advocacy in Albany, including lobbying, coalition building, policymaker relationships, bill tracking, testimony, budget strategy, communications, and staff training. Coordinates state and federal advocacy, supports ballot measure campaigns, and collaborates with NRDC Action Fund. The role requires extensive New York government networks, strategic advocacy expertise, occasional travel, and attendance in Albany three to four days weekly during legislative sessions.

Provides senior legal counsel on employment, labor, benefits, employee relations, and workforce compliance for a multinational nonprofit. Oversees employment-law attorneys, advises HR and leadership, manages policies, trainings, disputes, investigations, litigation, outside counsel, benefits matters, and international employment issues. Supports implementation and future bargaining related to NRDC’s collective bargaining agreement and staffs organizational committees.
