Participate in paid training and internship placements supporting minority-, woman-, and locally owned construction businesses and SCA departments. Assist with back-office submissions, including bid documents, payment requests, project schedules, change orders, and closeout documents. Complete graded assignments, practical exercises, and tests while developing administrative and business development skills for government contracting opportunities. Attend in-person training twice weekly and work at least 20 hours per week during the internship placement.

Conducts management, operational, and financial analyses; prepares reports and analytical models; researches and recommends policy and procedure changes; supports implementation; coordinates departmental and Authority-wide special projects; builds consensus; and ensures policy manual accuracy.

Manages operations for MWLBE, Mentor, and Graduate Mentor Programs, including contractor utilization reviews, compliance monitoring, policy and procedure development, reporting, staff supervision, training, technical assistance, metrics, strategic planning, RFP support, audits, and stakeholder coordination. The role also represents the organization at networking events and supports supplier diversity program improvements.

Manages MWLBE program operations, contractor and consultant compliance reviews, participation goals, reporting, policies, procedures, and risk assessment. Oversees assigned staff, supports procurement and RFP processes, develops compliance tracking systems, coordinates with internal departments, participates in selection committees, and represents the organization at MWLBE networking events.

Performs accounting and financial management activities including payment processing, budget and contract validation, reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries, purchase order management, and discrepancy resolution across multiple financial systems. Collaborates with internal departments, supports contract closeout, maintains financial applications, supervises or delegates work to support staff and interns, and provides finance-related customer service.

Provides legal counsel on public procurement and contracting matters, including construction, design, goods, and professional services. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts and solicitations; advises on compliance, risk, disputes, litigation, and procurement policies; coordinates outside counsel; conducts legal research; supports audits and oversight; and advises senior leadership. Supervises and develops legal staff while collaborating with internal departments, contractors, vendors, government agencies, and oversight entities.

Support implementation of capital and operating plans by developing analytical methodologies and automated models, conducting system audits, assisting in division-wide management planning, analyzing resource allocation, liaising with vendors/consultants, preparing analytical reports, identifying problems and implementing corrective procedures.

Design and deliver HVAC and mechanical systems for new and existing K-12 school projects. Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and agencies. Lead and supervise project teams, perform design review, ensure code and energy compliance, and manage multiple projects through construction. May sign and seal drawings and develop standards.

Lead and manage electrical engineering design for NYC public school projects, overseeing teams, ensuring code and FDNY compliance, producing design and construction documents, managing submittals, site observations, stakeholder coordination, and implementing technical standards across program projects.
