Edit and review sensitive journalism before and after publication, resolve ethical and editorial issues, develop newsroom ethics policies and stylebook guidance, and help design journalist training programs. The role collaborates across a global newsroom to uphold fair-minded, nonpartisan journalism and maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, and professional conduct.

Reporting intern will pitch, research, report, write, edit, and produce political and policy news for POLITICO’s New York coverage and daily newsletter. Responsibilities include covering spot news, developing enterprise stories, aggregating content, meeting deadlines, and occasionally reporting in the field or working early mornings. The role is a full-time hybrid summer internship for college students and recent graduates.

Report and write stories about New York politics and policy, cover breaking news, and contribute to the New York Playbook newsletter. Responsibilities include pitching, research, reporting, writing, editing, aggregation, and content production under tight deadlines, including some early mornings. The intern will work independently and with editors in a hybrid newsroom environment, report from the field as needed, and participate in newsroom training.
