Serve as an application security partner to web and backend engineering teams. Lead security design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, vulnerability remediation, and secure SDLC initiatives. Integrate SAST, SCA, and DAST tooling into CI/CD pipelines, develop AppSec automation, conduct SaaS and open-source security assessments, and support incident response. Collaborate with data science teams on AI/ML security and guide engineers in secure coding practices.

Develop and maintain backend test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, and end-to-end workflows. Own test strategy across component, contract, integration, and system levels; validate distributed-system behavior, cloud deployments, data persistence, security, performance, and resilience. Integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot failures using logs and telemetry, communicate quality risks, and mentor engineers.

Design and implement automated testing frameworks for data platforms, pipelines, distributed processing systems, and machine learning workflows. Develop strategies for data quality, schema integrity, drift, model accuracy, bias, regression, performance, and resilience. Investigate production failures, conduct exploratory testing, embed continuous validation into delivery processes, collaborate across engineering and data teams, and mentor junior SDETs.
