Build and deploy production AI systems for startup customers, from initial deployment through ongoing adoption. The role requires strong Python or TypeScript skills, experience with LLM applications and modern AI tooling, customer-facing ability, autonomy, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.

Design and build polished digital product experiences from ambiguous requirements through production. Create interfaces in Figma and React, develop reusable design systems and components, optimize responsive and accessible front-end experiences, and craft motion and micro-interactions. Collaborate with designers, engineers, product leaders, and clients while contributing to brand identities, landing pages, marketing campaigns, and launch materials. Operate independently, communicate design decisions clearly, and improve design-engineering workflows and standards.

Own technical execution for a live AI product as its first in-house engineer. Build and ship full-stack features, improve LLM-enabled agent quality, learn and extend the existing codebase, coordinate external engineering support, and maintain reliable testing, observability, documentation, and deployment practices. Work closely with the founder to translate product direction and prototypes into polished customer experiences.

Lead client relationships and technical project delivery from kickoff through completion. Manage timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communication, client meetings, documentation, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams. The role requires strong emotional intelligence, organization, technical fluency, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage challenging client relationships while protecting internal team capacity.

Own UpNext’s product strategy, roadmap, specifications, customer research, release process, QA, and stakeholder communications. Partner with ScopeLabs engineering to deliver platform features, manage sprint planning and bug triage, improve product processes, and expand transfer portal data coverage and integrity for college recruiting users.
