Develop and operate highly scalable backend systems and AWS infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining Python HTTP services, working with DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis, provisioning cloud resources through infrastructure as code, reasoning about distributed systems, and owning software from design through monitoring. The role also focuses on reliability, security, performance, cost optimization, observability, technical roadmaps, and collaboration with engineering and product stakeholders.
