Supports NYSDOT construction projects under a Resident Engineer by processing contractor payments, managing submittals, coordinating project communications, and facilitating inter-agency coordination. The role requires NICET Level III certification and/or an undergraduate engineering degree.

Leads the design and delivery of physical security, communications, audiovisual, life-safety, fire protection, and low-voltage systems for new construction and renovation projects. Manages field surveys, documentation, specifications, schedules, budgets, code compliance, construction administration, quality control, staff engineers, vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary coordination. Uses AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related tools while supporting meetings, site visits, bidding, permitting, and business development.

Designs and supports physical and protection and control systems for medium- and high-voltage substations. Responsibilities include conceptual designs, cost estimates, schedules, construction drawings, calculations, studies, quality reviews, technical delivery, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires applying IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client standards, preparing substation layouts and schematics, and providing project progress updates. A professional engineering license is required or must be obtainable within 12 months.
