Own the architecture and development of a firm-wide investment risk platform. Design scalable data models, risk aggregation, VaR and expected shortfall analytics, and intraday and end-of-day processing. Develop production systems in Python and SQL, deploy workloads on AWS and Kubernetes, improve performance and reliability, and lead design reviews. Partner with risk managers, portfolio managers, quants, and technology leaders while mentoring engineers and resolving complex production issues.

Develop and evaluate derivatives pricing models across equity and fixed income products; conduct alpha research, relative value analysis, backtesting, and signal implementation; build real-time P&L, risk, and analytics tools; assess model limitations; and advise portfolio managers and risk teams on practical model usage and business impact.

Supports and strengthens the firm’s operational risk program by identifying and assessing risks, managing incidents and remediation, conducting process and control reviews, and producing management reporting. The role also supports responsible AI use in risk management, engages stakeholders across the business, and administers the background check program. It requires strong judgment, analytical thinking, communication, relationship-building, and the ability to influence without formal authority.

Owns the platform’s technical direction by designing scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures. The role establishes engineering and testing standards, evaluates technologies, leads architecture and governance reviews, guides integrations and APIs, addresses technical debt, and mentors engineers. It also governs AI/LLM and agentic applications, translates business needs into technical roadmaps, and supports systems for trading, portfolio management, risk, accounting, and reconciliation in a financial-services environment.
