Contract Java Developer (12-16 month contract) to develop and maintain applications using GWT, Java and J2EE. Must have GWT expertise; Spring, Hibernate and SQL are desirable. Located in New York; requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

Design, implement and manage FIX-based system interfaces and communication infrastructure for mission-critical financial environments. Lead integration initiatives, create proofs-of-concept, perform system tuning and performance testing, and develop automation via Unix shell and Perl scripting. Ensure security best practices and collaborate in fast-paced teams; market-data knowledge (e.g., Reuters RMDS) is a plus.

Lead ER/Studio data architecture and modeling efforts: build/maintain macros, standardize domains and metadata, synchronize models with physical databases, enforce naming/versioning standards, document and support modelers and DB engineering for BI and data integration.
