Lead end-to-end biweekly payroll for a rapidly growing, multi-state retail organization. Oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, registrations, filings, provider relationships, employee inquiries, reconciliations, controls, audits, and year-end reporting. Partner with People, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate, timely, compliant, and scalable payroll operations across hourly and salaried populations.

Supports day-to-day People operations across studios and headquarters, including employee and manager inquiries, onboarding and offboarding, employee data changes, records management, payroll coordination, benefits and compliance administration, reporting, and recurring People programs. Also provides limited HQ office operations support. The role requires accurate, confidential, high-volume administrative execution, strong organization, sound judgment, and escalation of sensitive matters.

Paid apprentices complete a six-week piercing training program involving classroom learning, observation, and hands-on practice. Responsibilities include performing safe ear piercings, educating clients, delivering strong service, meeting appointment targets, maintaining sterilized tools and records, following operating procedures, and supporting studio compliance. Successful apprentices may advance to part-time or full-time Associate Piercer roles in NYC studios.
