The Fiscal Director oversees budgeting, fiscal planning, grant and contract management, financial and operational reporting, audits, tax filings, and fiscal monitoring for nonprofit mental health programs. The role supervises fiscal staff, coordinates annual budgeting, manages funder submissions, reviews program financial activity, and advises the CFO and program leadership on financial health and contracting. Experience with New York City and New York State grants, nonprofit accounting, contract management, and budgetary analysis is required.

Coordinates and tracks agency training programs, orientations, compliance records, staff development, and internship placements. Maintains the Relias platform, prepares audit documentation, monitors training compliance, facilitates refresher and corrective-action training, and supports policy updates. The role also investigates abuse and neglect allegations, reports incidents to regulatory authorities, audits program compliance, participates in incident reviews, and helps administer the organization’s compliance program. Travel to sites across New York City and 24/7 on-call responsibilities may be required.

Ensures agency compliance with federal, state, city, and internal regulations through audits, incident investigations, abuse and neglect reporting, policy development, staff training, and compliance program monitoring. Serves on review and development committees, performs HIPAA privacy duties, coordinates orientation, monitors helpdesk systems, and remains on call for serious incidents.
